Contracts and Agreements

[<< back]

There is virtually an unlimited array of contracts and agreements a business may require or be called upon to sign, which like Standard Terms and Conditions will usually control what happens in there is a dispute.

We prepare or review:

· Independent & Sub-Contractor Agreements
· Consulting Agreements
· Employment Agreements
· Distributorship & Wholesale Agreements
· Partnership Agreements
· Franchise Agreements
· Licensing Agreements
· Internet Service Agreement and many others.

Usually, but not always, an agreement prepared by the other party, especially if it is a general agreement and not just for this transaction, is written only with the needs of that party in mind and thus must be approached with caution. For example, the typical consulting agreement prepared by the customer and not by the consultant usually lacks specific payment terms and enforcement mechanisms. For that reason, it is generally better to be the party preparing the agreement than the party reviewing it.
